Debonding titanium structures

Before the correction firing, the titanium bar of the zirconia structure has to be debonded:

1.

Place the restoration with the titanium bar on the ceramic furnace firing support (e.g. on ceramic shafts).

Indication: in the ceramic furnace, contamination can occur as a result of the burning out process. It is recommended to use two different furnaces.

2.

Furnace for ceramics - Program settings:

Stand-by temperature: 200 °C
Rate of rise: 20 °C/Min
Final temperature: 400 °C
Closing time: 10 minutes
Holding time: 10 minutes
Slow cooling: None

3.

After opening the furnace, remove the firing support with the structure from the combustion chamber and leave to cool.
After the burning out process, the structure is contaminated.

Before the next use, carry out a cleaning cycle.

4.

Take the titanium bar out of the zirconia structure.
Tip: To do this, use laboratory analogues.

5.

Cleaning the zirconia structure:

Clean the internal surface of the structure with aluminium oxide (90µ/2bar).

6.

Steam clean the outer surfaces. If necessary, it is possible to use glass beads.

7.

The zirconia structure is now ready for further processing
(e.g. correction firing).
