The new Virtual Articulator CAD/CAM software module not only simulates the temporo-mandibular joint movements in the modelling software by viewing it on the computer screen, but is also the only system in existence that allows the dental technician to take the measurements of his/her own articulator, to scan it and to add these data to the software database. By this, the laboratory is no longer bound to a specific articulator and can continue using its customary articulators.

The articulator dimensions are faithfully saved in the software so as to be able to virtually articulate the models. If the model is mounted with the facial arc, it becomes absolutely necessary to acquire and store the measurements of one's own articulator in order to ensure that the correct reproduction of the actual mandibular movements in the software.

With the virtual articulator, it is possible to simulate the movement of any articulator model in existence (such as Artex®, KaVo ®, SAM ®). Regarding articulators with fast magnetic system (split-cast-system), the models of the upper and lower arches are automatically filed by the software with the correct occlusal ratio after scanning and articulator recording.
