Our opinion about: Ceramill dust and toxic substance measuring by the professional corporation
Quotation from a text published by Amman Girrbach: “Dust production during milling was particularly high for some milling systems from our competitors. The resulting high dust concentration levels can be detrimental to the health of the users of these milling systems.

The facts: 68% less dust with Zirkograph 025 equipped with a Zirkonair 960 aspiration unit than with Ceramill used with a central aspiration unit.
Already on October 12, 2005, the german technical services « TÜV » (Munich) measured the dust production of our milling system. For this measuring, about 40 zircon elements were milled (milling time: 4 hours and 40 minutes) and the corresponding dust quantities measured. The results were: 0,0063 mg/m³. This extreme « material destruction » obviously does not correspond to usual milling tasks but to the worst possible milling case.
Of course, the dust production value does not directly correlate with the quantity of zircon milled. In order to compare the TÜV dust measuring values with those from the professional corporation, the TÜV measuring values were converted for 8 elements (milling time: 3,5 hours). After this calculation it appears that dust production with Zirkograph 025 (fitted with Zirkonair 960 aspiration unit) is 68% lower than with the Ceramill system (used with central aspiration unit).
